Chia seeds which is the favourite ingredient of salads and pudding lately have so many benefits. For one, chia seed is the formula to live longer in Aztec and Maya cultures. It doesn’t contain gluten, a quality protein and it’s rich in mineral too. You can consume it granulated or as seeds. Eating a spoonful especially in the mornings with water and yoghurt gives energy for a whole day. Not to mention that it renews the cells in our bodies. Here are the other benefits of chia seeds.

1- It’s good good for pains and aches. Especially for joint aches.

2- Because it contains Omega-3, it brings high energy.

3- It cleanses the colons, give you a detox treatment.

4- Because it makes you feel full for hours, it’s helpful for losing weight. Because chia seeds get bigger in stomach and makes you feel full.

5- It prevents heart and vascular diseases, it strengthens the immune system.

6- It regulates the blood sugar levels because of high fibers.

7- It doesn’t ruin the taste of the food. Therefore it can be used in salads, pilafs, cakes and many foods, it gives extra taste.

8- Because it contains calcium, phosphor, magnesium, it strengthens bones and teeth.

Chia Pudding

Ingredients

1 glass of milk

1 teaspoon of honey

2 spoons of chia seeds

Half a banana

Seasonal fruits

How to make it

Put milk into a bowl and paste the banana. Then add chia seeds and honey. Wait the mixture out in a fridge for an hour. Meanwhile, chia seeds turn the mixture into a jelly. Then decorate top of the mixture with seasonal fruits.

And of course, a detox recipe that you can drink every morning:

Squeeze a half a lemon into a glass of water. Then add chia seeds, a piece of ginger and little honey. Drink it every morning.
