A Winter Classic: Home-Made Mulled Wine

When we’re outside during winter, there is always that point of being cold. That point when we say “I’m cold and I can’t help but going to somewhere warm and drink something hot”. We feel the need to go somewhere and sip something warm. Mulled-wine is exactly this kind of delicious and sourish taste. The hematinic effect of wine is mixed with the other ingredients; and it becomes good for your heart, and also warms your heart. With this recipe that you can easily prepare at home, winter can be warmer and sweeter. If you especially are thinking what to prepare for the New Year’s Eve, you can try mulled wine. Let’s warm up!

Ingredients

1 litre of red wine

1 glass of orange juice

1 apple

1 orange

2 cinnamon sticks

10 cloves

1 glass of brown sugar

Preparation

Start heating orange juice with wine in a pot. Add the apple that you chopped in cubes, orange that you sliced and other ingredients. Warm it up to the point of boiling. Then pour the wine to the glasses and add cloves if you prefer. Your mulled wine is ready to warm you up!
